Windham Mountain Resort, Windham, NY (September 28, 2018) -

Windham Mountain Resort is pleased to announce the addition of Susan Sommers Evans as Director of Human Resources.  Sommers Evans has relocated to the Catskills from Chicago, IL, where she’s been the Director of Human Resources for Kemper Sports Management, a golf, lodging and recreational facility management company, for 14 years.  Previous career stops include US Equities Realty and Coastal Hotel Group, Inc.

“Our employees are our greatest asset.  We’ve built a reputation on providing exceptional guest service with a well-trained workforce.  Susan’s experience and perspective in this important role will be key in upholding that reputation while cultivating new talent and employee programs,” says Chip Seamans, President and General Manager of Windham Mountain Resort.

Sommers Evans holds a BA degree in Human Resource Management from DePaul University in Chicago, IL, completed the Executive Masters in Human Resources Management degree from Cornell University’s ILR School, and is an active member of the Society of Human Resources Management.  She says, “I’ve had a love of the outdoors and skiing since childhood and have been an HR professional in the hospitality industry my entire career, so my move to Windham Mountain Resort is a very exciting change!  I’m looking forward to supporting the leadership team as we ramp up hiring for the winter season and continuing to create a fun work environment for the nearly one thousand employees we will onboard for the season.”

An additional change within the Human Resources department brings previous Snowsports Program Coordinator, Patti Lancto, into the Human Resources Generalist position.
