Youth/Children’s Snow Sports Lessons: Ages 7-12


IF YOU ARE TRAVELING TO WINDHAM MOUNTAIN FROM OUTSIDE OF NEW YORK, PLEASE READ THIS IMPORTANT GUIDANCE BEFORE YOUR VISIT: In response to increased rates of COVID-19 transmission in certain states within the United States, and to protect New York’s containment of COVID-19, the State has joined with New Jersey and Connecticut in jointly issuing a travel advisory for anyone returning from travel to states that have a significant degree of community-wide spread of COVID-19.  Please read the guidance carefully and check regularly, as this guidance is subject to frequent update and change.  Out of State guests must complete a traveler health form prior to arrival. [mandatory quarantine guidance] [traveler health form]

Many of Windham’s skiers and riders owe their success to an early start! Group lessons are available for children ages 7 to 12 for both skiing and snowboarding. Ages 6 & under will be private lessons only this season.

Space is limited. Face coverings are required for all participants and instructors throughout the lesson, except for actively skiing or snowboarding and when physical distancing guidelines can be readily achieved. Meeting areas are reconfigured to promote physical distancing guidelines. Group sizes are limited.

Please Note: The Children’s Learning Center facility will be closed for winter 2020/21. No children’s programs will be offered with indoor “playcare” and all offered lessons will meet outside the building on snow. Day care and nursery facilities will not operate this winter season.

Snow Sports Refund/Cancellation Policy

Lessons purchased online are day specific and nonrefundable. Lessons unable to be used on the designated day of issuance at purchase may be used on another day during the 20/21 winter season. Guests will be responsible for any difference in lesson price for rescheduled days.  Rescheduling of lessons must take place before the close of business the day prior to the original purchased day of use by calling 518-734-4300 x 1100 or emailing No “day-of” rescheduling may occur so plan ahead.  Lesson rescheduling is subject to availability.  If rescheduling is not completed in the proper time frame, lessons will be considered expired.  Expired lessons hold no value and will not be honored. All lessons expire at the end of the 20/21 winter season.

Parent Tips and Reminders:

  • Before you leave the house, make sure your children have:
    • Warm, water repelling jacket and pants
    • Waterproof hat and mittens that fit properly
    • Neck gaiter and goggles
    • Long underwear
    • A good night’s sleep

The Adaptive Sports Foundation (ASF) offers lessons for children (and adults) with physical and cognitive disabilities and chronic illnesses.
