A private lesson is all about you. Learn at your own pace in a relaxing environment, and get all of the instructor’s attention! Private Lessons provide the best value and concentrated coaching for skiers and riders of any ability. Reservations are required, so please call 518-734-6120 ahead of time.

  • We offer hour-long private lessons for children at least 4 years old, as well as 30-minute private lessons for children at least 3 years old.
  • Private Lesson Times: 9:00am, 12:15pm for ages 3-8
  • Private Lesson Times: 9:00am, 12:15pm, 1:15pm, 2:15pm for ages 9+

  • Includes 1 hour and 45 minute lesson Saturday & Sunday or 1 hour and 30 minute lesson Monday – Friday (2 lessons in the all day camp) and all-day, all mountain lift access
  • Pick up tickets & rental information at the Ticket Window outside Children’s Learning Center on ground floor of Base Lodge on Saturday & Sunday, inside the CLC Monday – Friday.
  • Meet on snow at Trailblazers flag ready to ski or snowboard 10 minutes before lesson time (If you need rentals, please allow at least 30 minutes for fitting.)

Reservations & Cancellations:

Please call 518-734-6120 during business hours or fill out the form below. Please note that a phone message, email request, or submitted form is not a confirmed reservation until you receive an email confirmation with order number. If you use the form below and we do not have your current credit card information on file, you will have to call reservations (518-734-6120) to confirm your reservation. Please note: a submitted reservation form is not a confirmed reservation.  The form must be submitted at least 48 hours in advance of the desired date. Consider the reservation confirmed once you receive an email confirmation.

Children's Lesson Request

  • Form must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance of the desired date.

To cancel, please call 518-734-4300 x1127 prior to noon the day before your child’s confirmed reservation. No-Show Policy: The Children’s Learning Center charges $25.00 for cancellations made without prior notification.

Parent Tips and Reminders:

  • Please visit our Tips for Beginners page.
  • Skiing is a wonderful sport and must be entered into willingly.
  • Depending upon the child’s willingness to ski or ride, lessons are 1.5 hours.
  • Children in the Adventurers Program who do not wish to ski or ride may remain in the CLC or may go along with the class to watch until they are ready to participate.
  • Children without proper clothing cannot be admitted to on-snow classes.
  • Before you leave the house, make sure your children have:
    • Warm, water repelling jacket and pants
    • Waterproof hat and mittens that fit properly
    • Neck gaiter and goggles
    • Long underwear
    • A good night’s sleep
    • SICK CHILD POLICY: Parents or guardians leaving children in the care of the Children’s Learning Center should not do so if the child has exhibited any symptoms of illness. Recently ill children must be free from sickness or treated with antibiotics for a minimum of 72 hours before enrolling. If children exhibit any symptoms during care at the Children’s Learning Center they will be sent home and unable to return for a minimum of 72 hours.

Adaptive Sports Foundation

The Adaptive Sports Foundation (ASF) offers lessons for children (and adults) with physical and cognitive disabilities and chronic illnesses. ASF is a non-profit organization that works closely with Windham Mountain Resort to provide profound and life changing experiences through outdoor physical activity, education, support and community.
