Windham Mountain Resort Announces Updates for the 2021/2022 Season
WINDHAM, N.Y. (November 9, 2021) – With the winter season right around the corner, Windham Mountain has pledged over $4 million to capital improvements around the resort. To elevate the overall guest experience, Windham has dedicated funding to upgrade snow-making systems, renovate kid’s skiing and riding programs, add 10 electric vehicle charging stations, and expand wedding venues, among other updates.
This winter season, Windham will continue to offer an exclusive guest experience, with expertly groomed trails, state-of-the-art facilities, high-quality gear, technical expertise, quality food and beverage options, and much more. The resort plans on continued expansion of the automated snowmaking system, allowing for quicker start-up and faster recovery from freeze/thaw cycles that naturally occur during the winter months. In addition, the resort has acquired a brand new PistenBully 600E+, which has earned the title of both the cleanest and quietest snow groomer currently on the market.
The resort has completely renovated its children’s ski and ride facilities, renamed Base Camp, which will enhance the lesson experience and assist in developing young skiers and snowboarders become the best they can be. Along with Basecamp, a new Magic Carpet with an overhead canopy will provide extra cover from weather and improved reliability to make learning easier. The carpet also provides convenient slope access from the lower lots to the base lodge 7 days a week.
Windham Mountain Sports boasts a state-of-the-art Montana Crystal Rock Ski and Snowboard Tuner, a fan favorite among racers for its specific tune and equipment settings. Along with Master Bootfitter Marc Stewart in the Bootlab, Windham Mountain Sports offers top-of-the-line mountain apparel and technical gear.
“We continue to focus on the guest experience,” says President and General Manager Chip Seamans, “with limited capacity on peak days, and numerous investments on and off the mountain, this season is gearing up to be above and beyond.”
