We have been confronted with a global health emergency, economic hardship, calls for social change, and uncertainty about what the future holds. While it is easy to feel disheartened by the news and very real concerns, I am struck by a common theme. It is a story of friendship, family and connection that has resonated on this mountain in Windham, New York for nearly 60 years.Windham Mountain is a special place that so many individuals and generations have made their havena place to connect with family and friends in thebeautiful outdoors of the Northern Catskills. As we celebrate our 60th season full of cherished memories and outdoor adventure, this edition of Above and Beyond is dedicated to our resilient mountain community. While more challenges lay ahead, many have been overcome and we are stronger and more determined than ever. Many have discovered this year that winter is not the only season of fun and beauty Published by here in Windham. Hiking, biking, golf, swimming, dining, and socially distancedgatherings all played a role in making this a special summer. Positive energy and hope for a winter that is close to normal drove us to make improvements andprepare for another great season.
