Get your kids outdoors for a meaningful experience in the beautiful Catskill Mountains! Camp Adventure is an ecology based day program packed with hands-on activities. Your children will foster a lasting love of Mother Nature…and get a healthy dose of fresh, mountain air!

Camp Adventure is for ages 5 to 14.

Camp Adventure at Windham Mountain Resort is a facility licensed by the New York State Department of Health.

Day Sessions Run:
Monday – Friday, 9am – 4pm

Each Week at Camp Adventure features a new theme, and each day of the week has a special highlight.  Themes and highlights for 2019 are below.

Mini Challenge Mondays
Start each week off with an exciting mini-challenge.

Treasure Hunt Tuesdays
Every Tuesday morning we are up for adventure with a unique treasure hunt.

Field Trip Wednesdays
All day we are out of camp for a fun field trip.

Twisted Thursdays
Let’s plan together something totally twisted to wear or do each day.

Sky High Fridays
Finish the week off with a trip to the top!  Parents are welcome to join every Friday at 3 pm for a Sky Ride to the top of Windham Mountain.

2019 Camp Adventure Themes

July 8 – 12: (SOLD OUT-TRY WEEK 3, IT WILL BE SIMILAR) Escape! – Follow clues to escape the strangely abandoned Space Station X.

July 15 – 19: Color Me Crazy – Learn the science of color while making tie dye shirts, kaleidoscopes, and growing rock candy crystals.

July 22 – 26: Mystery & Mayhem – Solve intriguing “whodunit” mysteries.

July 29 – August 2:  Motion Commotion – Explore Newton’s laws of motion by playing zoom ball, making balloon rockets and more.

August 5 – 9: Farm to Table – This fun week focuses on gardening & cooking. We’ll grow our own plants and make delicious dishes from fresh, local ingredients.

August 12 – 16: Merlin’s Magic Lab – Become apprentice to the famous Wizard Merlin by helping brew up potions and slime in his magic laboratory.

August 19 – 23: Amazing Race – Who will finish first in an exciting fast paced race around the world?

Campers bring their own lunch and water bottles.

Please note: a submitted reservation form is not a confirmed reservation.  The form must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance of the desired date. Consider the reservation confirmed once you receive a phone or email confirmation.  A copy of the child’s Immunization Records must be submitted to Camp Director prior to start of camp.

Camp Adventure


  • LUNCH- Children should pack a healthy lunch with them each day as well as a full water bottle.  Afternoon snack is provided.
  • PACKING- Children should dress for camp in play clothes and sneakers suitable for walking. Please consider also bringing the following items which can be stored on site in their assigned cubby:
    • Sunscreen
    • Change of Clothes (we may get wet/dirty)
    • Bathing Suit
    • Towel
    • Sandals
    • Bug Repellent
  • SAFETY- Please be advised that children will be participating in activities in wooded and grassy areas, a common place to find ticks. Children should be checked for ticks every day.
  • TRANSPORTATION- Camp Adventure is a community based camp that includes excursions to nearby attractions such as streams and hiking trails. Children will be transported to these locations via shuttle bus.
  • BEHAVIOR- Children are expected to exhibit appropriate language and behavior while in camp.  If necessary, parents will be contacted to discuss appropriate discipline actions. Unresolved and reoccurring behavior issues may result in a child’s exclusion from camp activities.
  • SICK CHILD POLICY: Parents or guardians leaving children in the care of the Camp Adventure should not do so if the child has exhibited any symptoms of illness. Recently ill children must be free from sickness or treated with antibiotics for a minimum of 72 hours before enrolling. If children exhibit any symptoms during care at camp they will be sent home and unable to return for a minimum of 72 hours.
  • A copy of the child’s Immunization Records must be submitted to Camp Director prior to start of camp
