Summer Fun In The Catskills

Get your kids outdoors for a meaningful experience in the beautiful Catskill Mountains! Campers will dig in to an ecology based program packed with hands-on activities. Your children will foster a lasting love of Mother Nature…and get a healthy dose of fresh, mountain air!

Each session has a unique theme but all campers have the opportunity to search for wildlife, hike the woods, explore streams, go on local excursions, make crafts, and many more exciting activities. Camp is for kids ages 5 to 13.

Adventure Day Camp at Windham Mountain Resort is a facility licensed by the New York State Department of Health.

Sessions Run:
Monday – Friday, 9am – 4pm
Starting July 9th – August 24th, 2018

Adventure Camp Calendar:

July 9 – 13:  SLIMY SCIENCE – Discover the purpose of slime in amphibians, slugs, and other creatures then experiment with your own slime recipes.

July 16 – 20:  TIME TRAVELERS – Journey aboard our time machine and travel back through history exploring exciting eras and discoveries. Then we’re off to the future, and beyond.

July 23 – 27:  CSI: WINDHAM – Ever wanted to investigate a crime scene? Become an agent, search for fingerprints, examine microscopic details, and see if you can solve the case!

July 30 – August 3: FOREST ADVENTURES – Hike through the woods and survey those sleeping giants among us, trees. Try your hand at bark rubbings, leaf impressions, and tree identification to discover why trees are such a crucial part of our lives.

August 6 – 10:  WATER OLYMPICS – Cool down while challenging your friends to an epic water competition!.

August 13 -17:  TREASURE HUNTERS – Play “Raiders of the Lost Artifact” and other clue hunts while sharpening your map and compass skills.

August 20 – 24:  SURVIVAL MOUNTAIN – How long do you think you could survive the mountain? Build shelters, find water, and learn to recognize wild edibles using native and modern techniques.

Adventure Day Camp


  • LUNCH- Children should pack a healthy lunch with them each day as well as a full water bottle.  Afternoon snack is provided.
  • PACKING- Children should dress for camp in play clothes and sneakers suitable for walking. Please consider also bringing the following items which can be stored on site in their assigned cubby:
    • Sunscreen
    • Change of Clothes (we may get wet/dirty)
    • Bathing Suit
    • Towel
    • Sandals
    • Bug Repellent
  • SAFETY- Please be advised that children will be participating in activities in wooded and grassy areas, a common place to find ticks. Children should be checked for ticks every day.
  • TRANSPORTATION- Adventure Day Camp is a community based camp that includes excursions to nearby attractions such as streams and hiking trails. Children will be transported to these locations via shuttle bus.
  • BEHAVIOR- Children are expected to exhibit appropriate language and behavior while in camp.  If necessary, parents will be contacted to discuss appropriate discipline actions. Unresolved and reoccurring behavior issues may result in a child’s exclusion from camp activities.
  • SICK CHILD POLICY: Parents or guardians leaving children in the care of the Camp Adventure should not do so if the child has exhibited any symptoms of illness. Recently ill children must be free from sickness or treated with antibiotics for a minimum of 24 hours before enrolling. If children exhibit any symptoms during care at camp they will be sent home and unable to return for a minimum of 24 hours.
