Sometimes, it's a lot more fun to cruise the mountain with a crew. So I met up with Michael Swanson, coach of the Adult Snowboard Program at Windham. He introduced me to his group, including Neil, Aaron, Liz, Monica and Brit.
What a cool group of new friends. Did I have a blast riding around the mountain with them? Totally!
We met up in the morning by the A Lift and hit the slopes. This is where I got to meet my riding mates for the morning. Everyone's at different places in their riding, but there's one thing this group has in common: FUN!
They got me to hit slopes I've never been on before, including my first Double Black Diamond at Windham. They also got me to hit the terrain park - or shall I say the terrain park got me (my bum that is, ouch!).
It's pretty easy to fit right in here; they are such a fun, welcoming bunch at all different skill levels.
Michael gave me some great one-on-one coaching, and I could definitely see how my riding skills could kick it up a few notches riding with these guys on the regular.
