Ski, ride and racing programs for young adults

Junior programs are a great way for young adults to make new friends and enjoy lots of fun moments on the mountain. And they'll be able to take advantage of the most talented coaches available.

Mountaineers & Mini Mountaineers
Begins December 13. A 13-week program designed to enhance the skill level in Juniors, ages 7-18. Mini Mountaineers is open to ages 5 and 6.

Mountaineers:
Half day: $620 through 10/31; $660 from 11/1
Full day: $920 through 10/31; $960 from 11/1 

Lesson times: 10-11:45am & 1:15-3:15pm

Mini Mountaineers:
Half day: $650 through 10/31; $690 from 11/1

Lesson time: 10-11:45am

Set No Limits 
Begins December 6 and runs for 14 weeks. This new program is for ages 12 and up, and focuses simply on fun and skiing the mountain. A wide variety of skills will be explored, often based on the interests of those in attendance.

Racing
Begins December 6. A 14-week program for Juniors 18 and under. Learn the latest racing techniques from an award-winning professional coaching staff. Program provides gate training in Slalom, Giant Slalom, Downhill and Super G disciplines, as well as exercises to promote fun and skill development. Windham Mountain's race program is affiliated with United States Ski and Snowboard Associations (USSA & USASA) and New York State Ski Racing Association.

Freestyle
Begins December 6. A 14-week program for Juniors 18 and under. Learn to ski the bumps, hit the jumps and free-ski like the pros. Coaches combine fun and challenge to develop the techniques needed to pull off freestyle maneuvers in both disciplines. The Windham Mountain Freestyle Program is affiliated with the United States Ski and Snowboard Associations (USSA & USASA).

Junior Instructor
For youths 13 and over Begins December 13 - Interested in becoming a Windham Mountain instructor, as well as a better skier? This 13-week, full-day program is open to intermediate skiers and snowboarders. Learn from the pros how to teach all levels, from beginner to expert.

Instructor Training Course I $605 through 10/31 $645 from 11/1

Instructor Training Course II $210 through 10/31 $250 from 11/1

Lesson times: 10-11:45am & 1:15-3:00pm

Snowboarding
Begins December 6. This 14-week program integrates physical skill development and safety awareness with a great opportunity to make new friends. The Mountain Riders program focuses on stance and turn shapes, with the opportunity to develop and master freestyle, alpine and combined skills. The Competition program further develops the skills of a rider who wants to compete in local and regional competitions.

All above classes meet on weekends and during the Christmas holiday period, with the exception of December 25, 2008. The programs will not be in session on Martin Luther King's Birthday, January 19 or President's Day, February 16. All programs end March 8, 2009.

ADAPTIVE SPORTS FOUNDATION
Windham Mountain is proud to host one of the nation's leading programs for adaptive skiing and snowboarding. The adaptive sports program at Windham Mountain, now known as the Adaptive Sports Foundation, is a service-oriented program. People 5 years and older with disabilities can experience the joy of skiing and snowboarding, and teachers can come to develop their skills in teaching disabled athletes.
