Mini Mountaineers & Mountaineers:The 13-week programs start December 2012. The Mini Mountaineers program, for ages 5 and 6, introduces our youngest participants to the Junior Program. Mountaineers, for ages 7-12, focus on the fundamental skills that serve as building blocks for success at a later age, when your child can choose a more specific program.
Set No LimitsA great social atmosphere for young adults focusing on fun and skiing the mountain. This 14-week program is for ages 12 and up. Saturdays and Sundays from December 2012 - March 2012. Participants must be able to ski all mountain terrain.
RacingLearn the latest racing techniques from an award-winning professional coaching staff. This program provides gate training in Slalom, Giant Slalom, Downhill and Super G disciplines, as well as exercises to promote fun and skill development. Windham Mountain's race program is affiliated with United States Ski and Snowboard Associations (USSA & USASA) and New York State Ski Racing Association. Racing begins December 2012; 14-week program for Juniors ages 10-18r.
Mini World CupThe Mini World Cup race training program is available to any skiing child or young adult ages 5 to 15. This program focuses on the enjoyment of the sport, play and gradual development of skills in a social environment to promote further participation in the sport. Skier must be able to ride a chair lift without an adult and ski intermediate trails. Windham Mountain’s Mini World Cup offers a four race series at home.
FreestyleLearn to ski the bumps, hit the jumps and free-ski like the pros. Coaches combine fun and challenge to develop the techniques needed to pull off freestyle maneuvers in both disciplines. The Windham Mountain Freestyle Program is affiliated with the United States Ski and Snowboard Associations (USSA & USASA). Starting December 2012; a 14-week program for Juniors 18 and under.
SnowboardingThis 14-week program integrates physical skill development and safety awareness with a great opportunity to make new friends. The Mountain Riders program focuses on stance and turn shapes, with the opportunity to develop and master freestyle, alpine and combined skills. The Competition program further develops the skills of a rider who wants to compete in local and regional competitions. This is a 14-week program for ages 6 and up.
Junior InstructorThis program is focused on youngsters ages 13 and up who would like to become Windham Mountain Snow Sports instructors. It’s also great for those who simply want to be a better skier or rider. This 13-week, full-day program, beginning December 2012 is open to skiers and snowboarders of at least “intermediate” capabilities. Participants learn from the pros how to teach all levels, from beginner to expert. And they'll be able to take advantage of the most talented coaches available.
All above classes meet on weekends and during the Christmas Holiday period. The programs will not be in session on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January 21, 2013, or President's Week, February 18-22, 2013. |

Our experienced instructors will teach kids new skills and advance their skiing ability, preparing them to safely compete in races. Your children will acquire the necessary techniques to become great! Mini Mountaineers is our youngest racing team for skiers and riders, beginning with children as young as 5 years old. Children 18 and under are eligible for enrollment in the junior programs and will be taught the latest racing techniques. Racing begins in December.
