The answer is blowing in the wind
Windham Mountain has spent a great deal of effort and resources to create a snowmaking system that is super efficient, able to make a great deal of snow in a short amount of time. That reduces the amount of energy the resort needs to draw from the utility companies and saves the company a great deal of money. When the snowmaking system is in operation, heat generated by compressors is even used to warm the base lodge! General Manager Tim Woods and Mountain Manager Ted Davis love to discuss how Windham has amped up its snowmaking plant while remaining responsible stewards of the mountain environment.
The Club at Windham Mountain
If there is a more beautiful private club at an eastern ski resort, we haven't seen it. More than just a lift ticket company
No doubt about it, skiing and snowboarding are at the heart of Windham Mountain. But in recent years, the resort has added a number of new attractions and made the warm weather months a bit more lively in this quiet Catskill Mountains community. Paintball fields, a skateboard park, a rock climbing wall, a bungee trampoline and mountain bike events have added to many other attractions available in the Windham area.
